The U.S. National Weather Service has issued their 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season Outlook. Just a reminder, the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30.

Record Breaking 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season Ends

Hurricane Zeta made landfall at Ciudad Chemuyil (about 15 miles south of Puerto Aventuras) at 11:10 p.m. on October 26, 2020. See GOES-16 infrared image at 11:01 p.m. below.
Below is a chart that shows the atmospheric pressure, wind speed, and wind gust speed from the Puerto Aventuras Navy weather station from Oct 26-27, 2020. Winds (in green) reached over 30 mph, with gusts (in red) to 65 mph. These occurred as the pressure (in blue) dropped to about 990 millibars as the storm made landfall.

The Government of Mexico has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula from Tulum to Cabo Catoche.
The Government of Cuba has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for the western Cuban province of Pinar del Rio.
SUMMARY OF WATCHES AND WARNINGS IN EFFECT:
A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for...
* Tulum to Cabo Catoche Mexico
* Cuban province of Pinar del Rio
A Tropical Storm Watch means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area, in this case within the next 24 hours.
Interests along the central and eastern U.S. Gulf Coast should monitor the progress of Alberto. Tropical storm and storm surge watches could be required for portions of this area later today or tonight.
